I recently wrote a post for Twenty Set called Four Things Every Young Professional Should Start Doing Right Now. The most recent comment asks about how to deal with being a young person in business. I have been thinking about this for a while now and I was planning on writing a post about it. As someone who went to kindergarten at four, started high school at 13, and was promoted twice by age 25, I have some insight on being the youngest person in the room.
Then I noticed a post on Brazen Careerist by Allison Jones with practically the exact title I was planning on using. The post is pretty good. That said, I still plan on writing about it, so please stay tuned!
My last two posts have been about introverts dealing with networking. The interest in this topic among myself and others has spurred me to get started writing an e-book tentatively titled “An Introvert’s Guide to Getting Ahead at Work.” I’d love to hear your thoughts on such a book. Also, if you have a personal story on the topic, let’s chat. The thought right now is to give anyone who contributes to the book a free copy. I’m still very much in the planning stages, and look forward to your insight.
I think the idea for your e-book sounds great. I’m a self-proclaimed introvert, and I have always found this a struggle. I know that most introverts must put forth more “effort” to get ahead in business, and I’m working on that everyday. I look forward to hearing more!
Thanks, Laura! I look forward to writing more.
Thanks for reading.
